There is no denying the fact that Professor Abdiweli has received accolades both locally and internationally since he became the Prime Minister of the TFG in June, 2011.
One thing that is clear is that Professor Abdiweli has not changed as a person. He is still humble, respects his contemporaries and those around him.
This is why each time the Prime Minister makes a public appearance he conjures the admiration of children, men and women, the old people including the disabled persons.
The Prime Minister’s stature, steadfastness and good works has earned him the respect across all segments of the Somali society.
The basic fact about him is that he is down to earth, always mingling with all the stakeholders and listens to their concerns: that shows a tacit inclination to give voice to the voiceless in the country’s political dispensations. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also continues to make international waves since he assumed power exactly a year ago for his huge achievements which can’t be covered in this short article. Suffice it to say that Prime Minister Professor Abdiweli commands international respect because of his sincerity, honesty and a sense of purpose as an African leader who has had the first litmus test in his political career.
We would buttress the fact that it is through his leadership traits: sincerity, honesty and a sense of purpose that he is the only Somali leader in contemporary history who has a proven track record of visible achievements on the ground, the only person who gave us hope and national solace. No wonder, he has also been voted the best leader in Somalia as adjudicated last month by an international public media poll and by a majority of Somali news website polls.
Finally, President-to-be Professor Abdiweli has availed himself as a God-given leader Somalis are obliged to hail and work together with in all aspects of development in the wider swath of society for the betterment of the country and unborn children. What needs to be established is that to criticize the President-to-be is not an answer to the mosaic of problems of the country but it is rather wise for Somalis to put hands to the wheels for the expected national salvation and development as the President-to-be Professor Abdiweli is doing well in this direction.

There is no denying the fact that President Koroma has received accolades both locally and internationally since he assumed power.
One thing that is clear is that President Koroma has not changed as a person. He is still humble, respects his contemporaries and those around him.
This is why each time the President takes a stroll around the city, he conjures the admiration of children, men and women, the old people including the disabled persons.
The President’s stature, steadfastness and good works make children and the elderly to run helter-skelter to have a glimpse of him as he takes a stroll in the streets of the country.
The President has done it on many occasions in the streets of Freetown including the provincial towns. The basic fact about President Koroma is that he is down to earth, always mingling with the grassroots and listens to their concerns: that shows a tacit inclination to give voice to the voiceless in the country’s political dispensations.
No doubt that he has that confidence to walk in the streets without bodyguards, believing that he is always with the people and the people are also with him in mind and spirit and therefore fears no foe. On many occasions when the President walks on the streets, unaccompanied by his bodyguards, he attracts attention of the larger public.
People would come out in their numbers from their homes, fill up in the streets amid cheers to say good-bye as he walks along the streets.
Thus, anytime the President takes a stroll on the streets, the people’s mindset is focused on him as a leader not necessarily representing the ruling APC but a leader that is a symbol of hopes and aspirations for all political parties including the oppositions. In reality, most Sierra Leoneans have at the back of their minds that President Koroma’s leadership cuts across ethnic and regional barriers.
His Agenda for Change to transform the country has seen infrastructural development including road network ongoing in parts of the opposition’s strongholds.
These new developments in the country’s economic dispensation, to a large extent, are hallmarks of the President’s good intentions for the people devoid of ethnicity and regionalism.
Against this background, the people always clamour around to see the President walking on the streets not based on their support or affiliation with the opposition parties but taking delight in cheering their President on the principles that he is a leader of the country, doing extremely well as far as his good works and outstanding leadership are concerned.
In fact, most Sierra Leoneans are of the view that the time of APC and SLPP power struggle should be brought to an end, allowing the people’s aspirations for the country’s sustainable development to be pursued relentlessly under the banner of Ernest Bai Koroma as far as his development achievement is concerned.
At the local political front, the President’s popularity continues to surge. This assumption is exemplified from the number of times people gather along the streets to cheer him: the traders, workers, “Okada” riders and a cross-section of the public would be chanting “the pa don cam”- meaning that the President has come.
This unrevised huge support comes as a special confidence the people have reposed in my President, your President and our President- courtesy of Professor Septimus Kaikai former Minister of Information.
Meanwhile, the President also continues to make international waves since he assumed power four years ago. Suffice it to say that President Koroma commands international respect because of his sincerity, honesty and a sense of purpose as an African leader who has had the first litmus test in his political career.
We would buttress the fact that it is through his leadership traits: sincerity, honesty and a sense of purpose that he was chosen as ECOWAS Chairman to mediate conflicts in the sub-region despite having just been in the sit of presidency for only three years.
It is based on this stainless fact that the former President of South Africa Thambo M’beki invited President Koroma to South Africa and awarded him as a sign of appreciation and respect for his exemplary leadership in Africa as a whole and, again, championing human rights values and conflict resolution.
One good thing that is inescapable in the minds of Sierra Leoneans and African leaders is what happened at last year’s United Nations General Assembly, where President Koroma was elevated to an enviable presidential status: he was invited among a bevy of African leaders to sit close to President Barack Obama of the United States of America.
Sitting among great leaders of the world was an elevation to President Koroma’s outstanding leadership, compared to his contemporaries in Africa. Take it or leave it, it is a fact skeptics in Sierra Leone would be ashamed to deny or rebuff. In fact, the former British Prime minister, Tony Blair had cause to describe President Koroma as a visionary leader not because of his towering stature and good looks but based on his outstanding leadership that continues to bring about prodigious development in the fabric of Sierra Leonean society.
