Buhoodle: Images released by media shows civilians carnage committed by Warlord Siilaanyo and his Somaliland Clan troops in Buhoodle and Kalshaale area of KHaatumo Region in January 26 this year during gun battle between Somaliland Clan-troops and the KHaatumo residents of the region, RBC Radio reports.
The images obtained by media showed 19 people who were slaughtered in Kalshaale location, about 30km away from Buhoodle’s town of Togdheer region in north Somalia. The whole 19 people, from specific sub-clan were killed in a dawn raid from Somaliland clan troops accusing of anti Somaliland’s separatist policy.
“We want the media and the international community to recognize the worst carnage in Buhoodle done by Somaliland clan troops in January 26th. 19 people were gathered in a single place with armored pickups and later they killed all.” Eng Mohamed Farah Aden, the minister of fishery and marine resources of Puntland who hails from Buhoodle told reporters in Bosasso.

Local pastoralists who were arrested by Somaliland Clan forces, alleging they were Pro-Khaatumo state were also reportedly killed in Sool-joogto by Warlord Siilaanyo’s Somaliland Clan forces location of the Buhoodle suburb but the exact number has not yet been proved.

Warlod Siilaanyo’s Somaliland Clan forces and the newly established Khaatumo state fought in the region between January and February this year as Somaliland claimed that its forces were in war against anti-separatist elements in the region. The fighting intensified late January when the Khaatumo state, a pro-unity administration was announced in a meeting in Taleex district of the Sool region.

Somaliland administration which declared its breakaway from Somalia in 1991 opposed the formation of the Khaatumo state.
